C. I. C. SPORT REGULATIONS

2009 Outdoor National Championships Four Wheel Rule Exception

There will be an exception made to the CIC rule Art.20 for the 2009 Banked Track and Road National Championships. The exception will be made for the freshman and master divisions as the CIC rules are strictly applied to the events that are qualifiers for the junior and senior US World Team.
The CIC rule below states that “skates having a min. of 4 wheels to a maximum of six wheels, fastened in line are permitted.” Based on this rule, frames with less than 4 wheels are not allowed. However, since an exception is being made, frames with less than 4 wheels are permitted in the freshman and master events.

Art. 20 - Skates
Skates with two pairs of wheels fastened parallel to each other or skates having a min. of 4 wheels to a maximum of six wheels, fastened in line are permitted. The maximum diameter of wheel must not exceed 110 mm. The skate must not exceed 50 cm. in length. Skates must be firmly attached to the shoes and axles are not to protrude from the wheels. Brakes are forbidden. Clap skates are allowed without propulsive gear.

今のところ、日本国内で使用例はありませんが、今後の為、理解しとくべきでしょう。
